I got a birthday card from my awesome insurance guy, Vic, last week. It’s one of those generated by the major companies en masse, but he wrote a very nice note in there and included a stick of gum, which made me laugh. What I loved about the mass market card was this pre-printed message: "P.S. Does your driver’s license expire on your birthday?" One hint made the card useful in a way that could save me money and hassle.
Are you taking every opportunity to offer tips and useful info in your customer interactions? What other ways could you share information that doesn’t cost you anything with clients who could really benefit?
P.S. Does your email signature have your contact info and tagline (or value statement) in it?
